Did you know 1 in 7 women will get post-partum depression or a related illness like post-partum anxiety or post-partum obsessive compulsive disorder?
Lots of women experience “baby blues” after pregnancy. After giving birth, 70 to 80 percent of new moms feel sad, annoyed, exhausted, anxious, scared and have trouble sleeping. Baby blues usually begin a few days after the baby is born and go on for about two to three weeks.

Post-Partum Depression (PPD) symptoms are often like the baby blues. But the baby blues last for only a short time and tend to be mild. PPD symptoms are more extreme and last longer.

Post-partum depression affects about 15% of new moms. About 10% of new moms have postpartum anxiety. About 5% struggle with postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder according to Postpartum Support International.
